Yesteryear is a wickedly funny, unsettling satire about a tradwife influencer who has built an empire selling millions of followers a picture-perfect version of “traditional” womanhood—until she wakes up in the actual year 1855. Suddenly, there are no producers, perfect kitchens, or carefully curated photos, just hard labor, dirty children, a very different husband, and a terrifying question: Is this time travel, a reality show, a punishment—or something much worse? Dark, suspenseful, and razor-sharp, Yesteryear takes aim at influencer culture, faith, politics, and the performance of femininity while asking what happens when the fantasy of the “good old days” becomes brutally real.
